We need your help to make sure the displaced, orphaned and injured wild animals brought to SPWRC have food, shelter, and quality medical care throughout the year.

Each year, we tend to more than a thousand animals that come through our doors. Our objective is always to provide the best care and to release the animals brought to us back into the wild.

Approximate costs for some of the various species we see every year are listed here.

$5.00 provides for one Blue Jay for one month

$21.00 provides for one Virginia Opossum for one month.

$72.00 provides for one Great Blue Heron for one month.

$10.00 provides for one Box Turtle for one month.

$36.00 provides for one Common Barn Owl for one month.

South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization as designated by the IRS. Your donations are tax deductible to the full extent that the law allows.

We always have needs for supplies, donations, and volunteers. See our Volunteer pages on this site and contact our Volunteer Coordinator to learn about the opportunities that exist.

Our Holiday Open House is scheduled for December 19, 2009 from 11am to 2pm. Please come out to the Center to enjoy some refreshments and visit with our Wildlife Ambassadors and Volunteers!
